I'd like us to work better, smoother and faster with each other. I've found a helpful way to do that.

Instead of coming to me with questions, I want you to *inform* me of what you're going to do. Here's the magic words I want you to use: "unless I hear differently" (UIHD).

When you've thought about a problem and are 60-70% sure on a solution, you'll say "UIHD, I'm going to order new parts from Amazon on next day shipping."

or: "This client wanted _______. UIHD I'm going to make it work."

Use it with our team, clients, vendors and anywhere else.

This will help us move faster and honor each other and our clients a bit better, leaning our projects toward action (more than deliberation).

Do Be Careful: If you're swimming into deep waters, instead of attempting something solo, you might consider pulling in another team member with the experience. "We've got some read/write errors with the server. UIHD, I'm going to bring Jeff in to help me troubleshoot."
